We were shouting, ‘last dance, last dance,’ but Mboya said, ‘not on my watch!’  We are back on stage 2 more times this January of 2025, to tell the story of Mboya as he wanted, coz one more show is never enough. Tom, as his close friends called him (over 20 shows later, we’re in the green circle too…at this point), was killed 55 years ago. But who killed him? 

As one of the country’s most illustrious luminaries, Tom Mboya was a rare phenomenon. He embodied a new generation of young, brilliant, tireless Africans who were hell-bent on making the best out of freshly independent African nations. We grew up with this enigma hanging over our heads. Yet 55 years since two assassin bullets ended his life, no one has filled his shoes.

We are exploring stories from Tom Mboya’s life… and death. The juicy, the astounding, the jarring, the tantalizing stories; and we would love to share those stories on stage with you. 

We will be going back to the Visa Oshwal Auditorium in Westlands, where we started this Mboya story in 2019. Poetic justice if you ask me :)
