In a Globalized world that is changing so rapidly and profoundly, Africa is on the edge of economic takeoff similar to what has taken place in Asia, Latin America and other developed countries. Indeed, there is a growing global interest in opportunities for profitable investments on the African continent.
However, and unfortunately, the continent still does not seem to enjoy a favorable image in the eyes of the world. For this reason, we are organizing a public lecture and panel discussion to explore exactly how the continent is being perceived by the rest of the world, and especially in the industrial north.
It is time to recognize the emergence of the new Africa. There's a huge opportunity for the media and international development community to reinvent communication strategies for the continent.
