Plates are used to serve the palatables and parables make the word palatable.
Parables are the plates in which Jesus served the kingdom in bite sized portions.
Therefore, this year's dinner is dubbed "Parables and Plates".
This dinner presents us with a unique opportunity; to commune as a community. 
And as we dine with the Lord, we need not forget this one thing:
The bread of life awaits his body.
