The Goethe-Institut Kenya together with the pan-African music portal Music In Africa will be hosting two panel discussions titled ‘Music Policy in Kenya’ and ‘Kenyan Music’s contribution to the economy’.
The first discussion will explore Kenya’s music policy, focusing particularly on how royalties work; the current state of affairs in the field of music copyrights and royalty collection; and the sensitive issue of local versus foreign content on local radio.
Music In Africa is an initiative by the Goethe-Institut together with the Siemens Stiftung and partners from across Africa.
