MESH Confab is our flagship event with an objective to assemble the very best of Ghanaian creativity under one roof for purposes of meeting, exploring and sharing in real life. These offer opportunities for networking collaboration and discovery. We have organized and successfully held four of such events with attendance numbers leaping from 9 creatives in our maiden event in 2012 to 120 creatives in our last and most recent event in May 2014 fast becoming a must attend event for creatives to meet and share their works. Event details:
The event will be a 4hr event made up of 3 main sessions
Session 1
Keynote Speakers:
This session is aimed at getting insight into the business of creativity with an emphasis on how to make ideas happen. In this session, we invite 3 outstanding individuals who have chalked remarkable success in their various creative disciplines to deliver 15 minute presentations. The 3 invited speakers are:
1. Jayso (Music producer, rapper, publicist) on the business of making music
2. Yaw D. K Osseo Asare ( Architect) on how design can make a difference)
3. One on one with Nicole Amarteyfio ( Filmmaker)
These presentations will focus very much on actionable tips that can help participants advance their own creative careers
Session 2
Behance Portfolio reviews:
This session is part of the worldwide Behance Portfolio Reviews events where participants are given the opportunity to present their creative portfolios to their peers to receive insightful feedback. Volunteering presenters are given a 5 minute time slot within which to present their portfolios and another 5 minutes to receive feedback from their peers all in a very relaxed and semi-formal atmosphere. This gives participants an opportunity to showcase their work, receive insightful feedback, a chance at getting commissions or getting hired and an opportunity for collaboration.
Session 3
Live Creative Sessions
This offers participants a first-hand peek into the creative processes of different creative professionals. There will be five different activities happening simultaneously with a cocktail and networking sessions. The activities will include:
1. Fashion photography shoot with Apag studios featuring outfits from Afro.mod.trends
2. Live digital painting with Setor Fiadjigbey of BZL Studios
3. 3d modeling with Paul Kweku Akrofie of RPC
4. DJ mixing
