“Challenges Worldwide is a pioneering social enterprise based in Edinburgh, Scotland. We believe that by supporting the development of fair and inclusive local economies we can help alleviate poverty and bring a lasting positive impact to communities in low- and middle-income countries. We support entrepreneurs and enterprises to strengthen their skills and abilities, helping them grow businesses that generate income, sustainable economic growth and employment.”
International Citizen Service (ICS) is a development programme that brings together young people from the UK and developing countries to volunteer in some of the poorest communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America. ICS is a once in a life-time volunteering opportunity open to all 18-25 year olds. ICS covers a range of development projects in areas related to ensuring people can earn a decent living, get a good education, get the information and services they need to stay healthy, live in a fairer world and protect their environment. ICS is delivered by respected development organisations, led by VSO and funded by the UK government.
We hope you will be able to attend. If you are unable to attend, but would like to receive further information about Challenges Worldwide’s support, then please email Zac Hill, Programme Manager on zac.hill@challengesworldwide.com.
