Have you ever wanted to write about the arts, but wondered where to start? Or tried to, perhaps, and been dissatisfied with the results?
Join us on Saturday, 14th May at the Goethe Institut for an open and frank discussion among artists and writers about writing for the arts.
Critique is a method of disciplined, systematic analysis of a written or oral discourse. Although critique is commonly understood as fault finding and negative judgement, it can also involve merit recognition, and in the philosophical tradition it also means a methodical practice of doubt.
Arts journalists, performers and audience members will come together to consider such questions as:
-what media can be used by writers on the arts?
- what skills does an arts writer need?
-how can one's skills be developed?
-who is willing to mentor new writers on the arts?
-what earning potential is there in this area?
Remember to join us on the 14th of May at Goethe-Institut Nairobi Nairobi from 2pm to 4pm and let us have A Critical Conversation on how we discuss, write and talk about the arts industry.
Entry is absolutely free but please do confirm your attendance on our page.
Do tell your artsy friends, art writers, journalists, bloggers and art lovers
