About the Artists:
Zarni
Born and raised in South Africa, young Singer-Songwriter Zarni has been compared to likes of Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson. This graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, has been making a living as a recording and touring musician in Seattle for the last few years but has been at it, since a young teenager.
Having shared the stage with Mary Lambert, Presidents of the Unites States and more, Zarni has started making her musical mark around the US and abroad. Her recent release, a 6 song EP titled “Honest Company” was produced by Tyler Johnson (Young Liars, Joshua Hyslop, Bear Mountain- Nettwerk Records) and showcases her honest, heartfelt lyrics embedded in grippingly catchy melodies.
Cameron Bruce:
South African audiences first came to know Cameron Bruce when, at just 17, he wowed the Idols judges with his stirring version of the John Mayer classic The Hurt during the 2009 auditions. His stand-out performance established Cameron as a firm favorite in the competition and he finished 6th overall. Idols catapulted Cameron into the hearts and minds of the South African public.
Now 21 and nearly 3 years after the reality show, Cameron with his magnetic vocal style, skillful guitar work and striking lyrics, is set to become by far one of South Africa’s finest musicians. Spending valuable time over the last couple of years working on his vocal, guitar and song writing crafts and deriving inspiration from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Jonny Lang, Ray LaMontagne, John Mayer and James Morrison, Cameron has defined his own unique style of sophisticated music.
