Theme - Exploring Opportunities through the African Continental Free Trade Agreement: with Focus on SMEs.

This year and going forward, our SME Conferences takes a new dimension.

From inception in 2013, our SME Conferences which is a private sector driven initiative usually holds across four States annually- Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivers States. To ensure increased impact and based on research/feedback, we have consolidated these Conferences and birthed the Annual WPL SME Conference.

Our focus is to foster economic development across these States - ‘BAAR’ – Bayelsa, Abia, Akwa Ibom & Rivers States and provide opportunities for collaboration, leveraging on each State’s comparative advantage.

Participation:

Participation at the conference will include the Federal and State Governments in Nigeria, Stakeholders in SME Value Chain, International Development Agencies, Multinational and International Organizations, Financial Institutions, AfCFTA Member States, Foreign Embassies & Consulates and other stakeholders in the business space.

Objective

The conference objective and outcome are tailored towards - building capacity of SMEs (entrepreneurial knowledge), maximizing business opportunities through B2B connect, advocacy for enabling business environment, linking SMEs to large buyers of goods and services, access to finance & market, ensure the reduction or elimination of ‘loss of revenue’ in the agricultural sector caused by post-harvest losses and stimulate wealth creation & economic development
