World Environment Day is celebrated across the world every 5th June.
Last year we celebrated with bottle collection exercise at Labadi Beach. This year we are starting a recycling project with about 5 Senior High Schools in the Accra Metropolis. There is high demand for plastic sachet bags from recycling companies. If schools are able to segregate their plastic waste then they can sell them.
Moreover, we are organising a waste art installation competition among the participating schools . This time we are giving big prizes like solar panels which is very useful especially in these times when we are facing frequent power outages and water storage tanks for the best art work.
We are therefore calling for collaboration, participation and sponsorship from everyone.
