On the 27th of March, 2017, Webster University Ghana Campus will host the first edition of the Webster Student Lead Conference. A Conference created for student, by students to discuss pressing issues that affect us in our world today. The theme for the conference is ‘The Double-Edged Sword of Technology in today’s globalized world’, where we will get discuss how influential social media and technology in our day and age in doing more than just communicating. There will be keynote speakers on hand to deliver their two cents about the way we use technology, and you will get to have your say about the role of technology in moderated discussions. There are seven different topics up for discussion that will be announced in the coming days, and at the conference you get to choose what discussion you want to participate in.
In addition to the lively tech-centered conversations, there will a bazaar to showcase the various business ventures of the Students of Webster Ghana. The best thing about it is that they’re all on sale and going to support a project of a Webster Global Masters student to bring electricity to the Village of Las Crucitas, Honduras. Electric discussions (no pun intended!) and the option to support endeavors of fellow students (and maybe cry later about how much you spent later). The Webster Student Lead Conference is something you don’t want to miss. #WebUStudentCon #DoubleEdgedSword
