Arrive in Accra, Ghana Akwaaba! Arrive in Accra, Ghana. Transfer from the airport to your hotel. Check into your hotel. Welcome drinks and orientation.

Day 3 April 2nd , 2019:
Accra City Tour First stop: W. E. B. Dubois Centre for Pan African Culture! Dr. Dubois spent two years working on a Pan-African encyclopedia under the invitation by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah (Ghana’s first President)!!
Second Stop: Independence/Black Star Square &Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. The square marks the point where three ex-military men tried to present grievances to the colonial governor and were shot during a peaceful demonstration. Nkrumah Memorial Park was created to commemorate Ghana's
Day 4 April 3rd, 2019:
Cape Coast & Elmina Castles (Door of No Return) History will unfold the story of the slave trade; which the impact is still felt beyond the shores of Africa today.

Day 5 April 4th,2019:
Kakum National Park - Accra Depart for a drive to Kakum National Park, one of West Africa’s surviving tropical rain forests. The most popular attraction is the Canopy walkway which is made up of seven bridges. Enjoy a 2 km nature walk through this forest to discover the wide variety of exotic floral species and the medicinal values they offer.

Day 6 April 5th, 2019:
Torgorme Naming Ceremony – Volta River Boat Cruise After breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart for a scenic drive to a beautiful village located on the lower course of the splendid Volta River. You will have the opportunity to pay a courtesy call on the paramount chief and elders amidst traditional drumming and dancing by the villages and also participate in a naming ceremony, where you will be given a traditional African name. Other activities include a demonstration of pottery making which is the main occupation of the women in the village.
Day 7 April 6th, 2019:
Friendly Monkeys (Tafi Atome) – Wli Waterfall After breakfast, check out for an early morning departure for Tafi Atome, a village that has practiced conservation as a culture by keeping their monkeys sacred. You will have the rare and exciting experience of witnessing these endangered animals in large numbers as they live in the wild. Continue on to Wli Waterfalls. Enjoy a hike through the lush greenery of the Agumatsa Forest Reserve where you will cross the same river eleven times to reach the breathtaking falls.

Day 8 April 7th, 2019
Mount Afadjato –Tagbo Falls After breakfast, prepare for an early morning departure for depart for a drive to the foot of Afadjato mountain which is approximately 885m above sea level (2905ft). From there, you will climb to the highest peak in Ghana, without climbing gear. After descending from the peak, enjoy a walk through a secondary rainforest and enjoy a cool and invigorating environment at the base of the Tagbo Falls.

Day 9 April 8th, 2019:
Kumasi City Tour After breakfast, check out of your hotel and drive to Kumasi and explore the Ashanti region. Make a scenic drive to the seat of the Ashanti Empire to explore the Manhyia Palace Museum, to obtain firsthand information on the legacies of the Ashanti kingdom. A regal history that dates back to 1700 is told with relics and artefacts. Enjoy a drive through the city with monuments dedicated to the memory of the great Ashanti people. Afterwards visit the National Cultural Centre which features the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum and various studios of the brass makers, potters and batik makers.

Day 10 April 9th, 2019
Ashanti Craft Village – Accra City Night Life / Farewell Dinner After breakfast, check out of your hotel to visit the three famous Ashanti craft villages. Depart for, Ntonso the home of Adinkra cloth, and Bonwire, the Kente weaving village. You will have an opportunity to see how African crafts are made and to buy directly from the artisans who make them. Afterward, embark on a scenic drive back to Accra. Check in at the hotel and freshen up.
