The next Velocity Cycling Club (VCC) 100 and 60 miler from Accra and Mamfe to Koforiduua is on November 25th. While the primary event is the 100 mile route it is also our wish that it is a social occasion and an opportunity for many of us to meet for lunch and drinks at the middle of the ride. Given the nature of the event it is not possible for us all to meet and dine together without a shorter ride starting outside Accra and meeting the 100 mile ride at Koforidua, hence the proposal for a shorter 60-70km ride starting and finishing at Mamfe. The route between Mamfe and Koforidua is more undulating than many of the routes centred in Accra so the effort will be above that of a 100km ride in Accra, plus the bonus of a ride in much less traffic and clean country air. It will be helpful for planning if we could have an indication of riders wishing to do the shorter ride.
