The Vegetarian Association of Ghana’s VegFest is an annual festival  that provides the platform for all vegetarian associations, societies, agencies, academicians, researches and individuals from all parts of the globe to converge, to share and promote the concept of veganism, vegetarianism as a standard for healthy living and sustainability. This event is a special family day out where VegGhana promotes awareness, share professional experiences and interact with key stakeholders and the public through various activities notably:

THEME: The Environment: An Extension of You 
We are all very aware of the menace that rubber and plastics are causing in our society. Apart from the filth they generate, we must also be aware of how long these items take to degrade and decompose and it’s effect on our planet as well as our future generations. 
Our theme for this year is THE ENVIRONMENT, AN EXTENSION OF YOU. As we highlight that each of us is responsible for our environment. It all begins with each of us in our small way to stop using plastics and rubber. 
In order to set an example and showcase the creative ways we can use biodegradable materials as packaging during our VegFest, all vendors must endeavor NOT to use any plastics or rubber. Alternative items such as Paper, Card, Cotton, Leaves, Calabashes, Bamboo cups and crockery etc are some examples. 
Our VegFest 2019 will be one of a kind as we set a precedent for awesome products in sustainable packaging which will, in our small way, contribute in making our environment a better place.
