UCC @60FOR60 LEGACY PROTECT FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
Cherished UCC Alumni,
University of Cape Coast marks its 60th anniversary in October 2022. This landmark year is a great opportunity to reflect on the past while making strategic plans for the future. UCC, in recent times, has experienced the wind of victory attributed to the spirit of hard work of Council, management, staff, students, friends and you, our esteemed alumni.
The University has been adjudged in the recent release by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University’s Ranking as the number one University in Ghana and West Africa. We were also ranked first among 138 new entrant in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University’s Ranking. It did not end there; we were again adjudged the first University in terms research influence globally.
Our cherished alumni, it may interest you to know that University of Cape Coast, School of Business Studies emerged a winner of the third edition of the Tertiary Business Sense Challenge (TBSC). Similarly, the Faculty of Law also participated and won the Law Challenge-Ghana 2021.
UCC has achieved several feats and the University recognizes the role of our Alumni in its success story. You supported the University tremendously in diverse ways, including donation of solar streetlights, books, computers, medications, running shoes, trophies, projectors, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) amongst others to the University. The University Management acknowledges and appreciates your kind support to your alma mater.
As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we want the university to be the leading research centre in Ghana and beyond. To realise this vision, the University is embarking on fund-raising activity, branded as: UCC60@for60 donations towards the legacy project which is building of Biomedical and Clinical Research Laboratory which will cost 50 million (50, 000,000) Ghana Cedis. The Biomedical and Clinical Research Centre will undertake medically related research of the Western corridors of the country and beyond. You are invited to donate 60 Ghana Cedis, Dollars, Pounds, Euros, CFA etc. to support this noble initiative. I assure you that all individuals who donates will be recognized by the University on our various media platforms. All donations will also be accountable and used for the intended purpose.
