Beirut Parc Matthias Frickel/Henning Hess, Germany/Lebanon 2016, 2x50min The „Soccer Camp Lebanon“ is an initiative of the Goethe-Institut Beirut in cooperation with the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the David Nakhid International Football Academy. The Soccer Camp Lebanon enables 900 teenagers from Beirut and other Lebanese cities to play football together and continue to dream of a peaceful world. Besides the training in mixed teams (girls and boys) there is a final tournament in which these kids get introduced to the different social and cultural backgrounds of each other. ‘Beirut Parc’ accompanies the Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian kids and draws a picture of the outcomes of their participation in the Soccer Camp. The makers of the movie shot the football matches as well as in the Refugee Camps and in the homes of the children.
