B-Movie: Lust & Sound in West-Berlin
Regie: Jörg A. Hoppe, Heiko Lange, Klaus Maeck, Miriam Dehne, b/w a. colour, 92 Min., 2014/15
West-Berlin in the 80s – an island surrounded by the soviet occupation area, which was the GDR. This was the place to be for young artists and musicians, who did not just want to crash the borders between East and West. The shorter the days the longer the nights was the credo of the subculture scene. The wild West part of Berlin city was a melting pot and hideaway for later world famous musicians like David Bowie and Nick Cave. B-Movie tells the story of the musical underground of this time and the development from Punk over New Wave to the first Loveparade. Therefore, it uses unreleased original footage to blaze up the spirit back in the days.
