The Design Share Party is a monthly gathering where we invite Artists and people concerned with Art to come share their work and inspiration. On the 30th of July 2016 we feature Festus Masekwameng, Fred Swart and Vus Ngxande. FESTUS MASEKWAMENG Award-winning Creative Director; TV Content Executive Producer and Media Enterpreneur Festus Masekwameng co-founded MotherRussia Communications. He has served on South Africa’s leading creative body the Creative Circle ExCo since 2005 and completed a four-year stint as Chairman of the Loerie Advertising Awards Board & Committees. As a sought-after judge, he has also already served on several local and international judging panels for the likes of ACA Apex Awards for Advertising Effectiveness, the Financial Mail’s Adfocus Awards, Pendorings, Finweek’s AdReview, the Loerie Awards, the Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (in Nigeria), MNet’s Vuka Awards (recently renamed Television Awards for Good), and the newly established Ideas Expo in Botswana. He is currently Managing Partner at MKT Media and resides in Gauteng, South Africa. FRED SWART founded Ateljee, a Johannesburg based design studio, with Helene Botha & Jaco Burger. Their clients span over corporate and cultural sectors, both national and international. We focus on creating holistic solutions that transgresses standard thinking and expands the visual integrity of our clients. They focus on identity programmes, type design, publications, packaging, exhibition design & illustration. VUS NGXANDE is born and bred in Johannesburg, he attended CPUT where he he completed 4th year in Graphic Design. He is a photographer, freelance designer and poet. His hobbies include his work, designing, music, DJing at campus and everything that helps him with his creativity. You might remember Vus from The Cut, that Design reality TV show? Vus is a dedicated single father and resides in Jozi with his family. Please be aware that the event is free entry but we accept donations for covering some basic operational costs.
