The Child Summit and Awards is the first event in Africa that celebrates and give proper recognition through the conferment of awards of excellence to African Children under the ages of 17 years with exceptional abilities, outstanding bravery and have inspired other children with their remarkable and measurable achievements in various fields like arts, entertainment, Technology, Sport, academics etc.
The event is also committed to increasing public awareness of all forms of abuse against children, develop activities to prevent such abuses through a summit aimed at identifying the barriers to issues affecting children in Africa and providing a holistic and multi-dimensional approach to sustainable solution to the problems.
This year’s edition under the theme “Strengthening Child Protection Systems in Sub-Saharan Africa” will draw Participation of highly recognized leaders and stakeholders in various sectors of industry, government, business and humanity from across Africa and livestreamed for a global audience. 19 awardees under the age of 17 years old are expected from 11 countries.
Now in its 3rd edition, the Child Summit has awarded more than 30 outstanding children.
Nominations for 2019 are open to all African children under 17 years old. All nominations should be sent to info@paledec.org stating the child’s full name, country, guardian/parent’s email and phone number and the child’s short profile.
