Event Details
It is with great pleasure that we write to invite you to the 8th CORA Publishers’ Forum organized by CORA Art & Cultural Foundation in partnership with Quramo Publishing Limited and supported by Goethe Institut, Lagos.
As one of the prefaces to LABAF, the event is billed to hold on Thursday November 9 at the Goethe Institut, 4th Floor City Hall, Catholic Mission Street, Lagos Island between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
The theme for this 8th edition is - A NEW CONSCIOUSNESS IN READING AND PUBLISHING, and it explores the possibility of a paradigm shift in our reading and publishing culture in response to the changing sociopolitical climate both locally and globally.
This year’s Forum will feature distinguished and experienced speakers in Nigerian Publishing sector and discussion will centre around topics such as Writing for Enlightenment in the Age of Misinformation; the New African Literary Voice; a Retrospective of Nigerian Publishing and Ushering in A New Season in Publishing African Work.
Our expectation is that clear strategies would emerge from the session which can be immediately implemented or could be built upon in future. The Forum, which is free to attend will benefit from your contribution and presence.
The CORA Publishers’ Forum was conceived in 2010 to provide a concentrated space for key publishers in Nigeria to gain critical insight into their current operations within the context of the challenges facing their industry.
The Lagos Book and Art Festival (LABAF) is CORA’s annual culture picnic with a heavy book content primed to attract families and a public that seeks cultural entertainment.
We look forward to receiving you at the event.
Yours sincerely,
