The recognition of war impacts on women and the role that women play in conflict prevention, resolution, and peacebuilding led to the adoption of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (Women, Peace and Security). It is against this backdrop that, in partnership with the Turkish Embassy, the Young Diplomats of Kenya (YDK) seeks to host various Ambassadors, High Commissioners and other diplomatic experts to address aspiring diplomats on the implications of "Advancing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in the 21st Century and beyond".
