This has been a really difficult year. We started marching for our lives and the marching has not stopped. The world constantly tries to steal joy from us, and it succeeds far too often. 

We’ve been fighting for our livelihoods, and the right to exist and be here. That is the sort of thing people have to get together and honour. In all our different ways, we have been grieving, building, rebuilding, caring for and maintaining all our different communities, being present with and taking care of others and ourselves, physically and mentally, however we can, in ways tiny and tremendous, tender and terrifying. That is the sort of thing we NEED to come together to honour. 

Strictly Silk is a little magical community built by and with cis women, trans women and gender diverse folk, to share love, celebrate each other, affirm each other and be heard and seen together... to be euphoric together, to try and find ways to keep each other safe in this hard, hard world for a few hours, together. 

Let's gather together on December 12th - to honour and pour one out for those who have been stolen from us, and hold one up for ourselves too - we are and continue to be each other's legacy, each other's celebration, and each other's biggest hope.
