Event Details

Bookings open for SA Adventure Summit – limited seats available. Bookings are open for the first ever SA Adventure Summit to be held in the Overberg from 26th to 28th September. The first South African Adventure Summit brings the country's adventure community together to assist in creating a highly-driven and professional industry. South Africa is fast becoming one of the top adventure destinations in the world with a vast variety of activities offered by hundreds of operators. The theme for this first summit is 'Keep it real'. This statement reflects on both the adventure activities that are on offer as well as the overall attitude of our industry towards the community, environment and business ethics. Topics that will be discussed at the summit are directed at adventure company owners, managers and marketers of adventure. You will leave the summit armed with information that you can use in the daily running and future planning of your business. Networking opportunities are given priority at the conference. Longer lunch and tea breaks give delegates time to connect one-on-one with speakers that they have just listened too. The networking focus of the summit is also reflected in the pre-summit 'Adventure Day' that gives small groups time together to discuss their operations and share their knowledge. The general programme for the summit is as follows: Day 1 allows participants to participate in adventure activities and the day ends with drinks and a braai function at Trails End, Grabouw. The evening includes entertainment in a storytelling format, On Day 2, a full day of TED Talks-style conferencing and panel discussions are scheduled. The day ends with a gala dinner on site at Kunguru Lodge. Day 3 is the final day of conferencing. Keeping in line with our environmentally aware objective, there will be no printed material at the conference: any fancy functions, websites, apps or even name tags. Dirty Boots will manage all the admin behind-the-scenes and the conference can be confirmed and paid for online using Activitybridge’s existing platform: http://activitybridge.com/book?activityid=6842&startdate=2017-09-26 Cost: R 1980.00 per person Includes: One adventure activity per attendee on Day 1.
