Each year, on the last Saturday of November (November 26, 2016), runners from around the world converge at Serengeti National Park to run in the Serengeti Marathon. The Serengeti Marathon is one of the most unique marathons as part of the race is run inside the world famous Serengeti National Park’s Western side near the Ndabaka Gate. This is an event that will give you an opportunity to witness close encounters the spectacular African wildlife. Worldwide Safaris Tanzania, Ltd. invites you to consider enhancing your runners’ experience by organizing a safari before or after the event. Tanzania remains a hidden natural treasure, still not overrun by tourism, and among the safest of countries on the African continent to explore. Safaris can be custom designed according to you and your runners’ interests and needs to include such places as Serengeti National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage site), Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, among other parks and reserves.
