International guest artist of Wanny Angerer in Moving Cultures/ CULTURAL STOPOVERS Kenya/ Sanaa Ab/ Sanaa Abouayoub is a Moroccan artist and an art therapist graduated from Vancouver Art Therapy Institute in Canada. She is the founder of the Open Arts Space, an alternative space for art, creativity and healing based in Casablanca, Morocco. She uses an approach centered on the creative process to foster self-expression and healing. Committed to social justice issues, she worked with a diverse population in Morocco and Canada: children, elderly, immigrants, indigenous women and women survivors of abuse. She also volunteered for The Red Pencil International on several missions in Kenya and Uganda. Passionate about spreading the benefits of art therapy, she teaches an introduction to art therapy for graduate students and professionals.
