Rwanda Peace Festival (Carnival Walk, Football Match, Prayer, Traditional Music & Dance) The Universal Peace Federation Rwanda Chapter (UPF) with Indatabigwi artists will hold a peace festival in Kigali on October 30, 2016, from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. This family-friendly event is completely free and open to the public. The purpose of the Rwanda Peace Festival is to promote spiritual and physical well-being as we celebrate the achievement of full peace in Rwanda. Our country is now a model for peace worldwide. Let’s show the world how Rwanda is promoting peace at home and abroad through its many peace-building and peace-keeping activities. Come join us with your family and friends for this exciting and joyous cultural expression of what we have overcome as a nation so others may learn from us and achieve the same. Highlights of the Rwanda Peace Festival include a peace walk (Rwandan Carnival) with cultural songs, traditional dance, and peace music. The carnival walk will begin at Sonatubes and end at the Mini Stadium in Remera. Then, join us in the stadium for prayer, speeches, a football peace match, and more wonderful music and dance performances.
