You are invited to register your interest in attending a free training course on Reflecting, Re-Engaging and Re-Imagining Transformative Higher Education Pedagogy and Practice.
This will take place over 4 days in Accra between 5-8th February 2024.
This intensive professional development course is aimed at colleagues teaching in higher education with a passion for pedagogy and a vision for transforming the learning experiences of their students. The course offers input on research-informed pedagogic approaches across a wide range of university teaching and learning issues in the contemporary competitive, international higher education sector.
The course is delivered in collaboration with the University of Accra, by expert colleagues from the Department of Education of the University of Sussex, UK, which has a proven track record in delivering higher quality, context sensitive and research-informed teaching and learning programmes - both in the UK and in a broad range of international contexts.
Outline Programme
Day 1 – Monday 5th February: What are our critical reflections on professional knowing & learning?
Day 2 – Tuesday 6th February: What pedagogies support transformation? – Re-Engaging in Active, Collaborative, and Inclusive Teaching
Day 3 - Wednesday 7th February: How can digital technologies transform pedagogy?
Day 4 - Thursday 8th February: How can we use creativity to imagine and design transformative pedagogies?
Each day will start at 9.30 and end at 3.30, with breaks for refreshments and lunch.
Venue
This course will take place at The University of Accra, Room TBC. Lunch and refreshments are included. Participants will need to arrange their own accommodation and travel.

Please register your interest via Eventbrite. We will contact you with an application form where we ask for a short statement on your pedagogic experience and goals. Places are limited and we ask for all participants to commit to the whole programme.
