Event Details
This is a new literary series aimed at taking literary discourse to unusual public spaces such as amusement parks, forests, markets, and shopping centers. Each session will be based on a specific theme.
The inaugural session will be held at the lake in Nairobi’s Uhuru Park. Since the theme for this session is “Water”, participants will read selected texts by Alice Munro (Closely Held), Heinrich Heine (The Loreley), Günter Eich (Pond in December and Oder, My River), Juli Zeh (Decompression). After the unique literary experience on boats, participants will converge for a picnic at the park.
Curated by Tony Mochama.
