Youth unemployment has been called an economic crisis. According to a recent report by the World Bank, “Ghana is faced with 12% youth unemployment and more than 50% underemployment, both higher than overall unemployment rates in Sub-Saharan African countries. Despite major investments by both government and private sector, this challenge will intensify if job opportunities remain limited.”
This year’s edition of Quantum Leap Career Fair marks the Africa Day 2021. And we aim to assemble the best minds to help our participants learn how find jobs in Ghana, skills employers need in today’s corporate Ghana, and what the future holds for Ghana’s workforce. We shall also invite thought-leading brands that are looking to recruit entry-level talents to help our participants access job opportunities on the spot.
Quantum Leap Career Fair is an annual entry-level career fair established to help job seekers and employers to connect and communicate face-to-face. The event provides a platform for participants to gather information on career options, build a network of contacts with peers and industry leaders, identify job openings or secure an interview.
Started in partnership with the British Council Ghana in 2015, the event has hosted over 1100 participants, including two special editions organized for President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) West Africa participants in 2015 and 2016. This year’s edition promises to raise the dike in our event programming, you can’t afford to miss out!
