The 3rd preliminary of Slam Africa is the last qualifier event for the Grand Slam 2025 which will see 3 finalists get direct entries to the Grand Slam finals. 

The event will pit 9 contestants drawn from across the country against each other through three elimination rounds of competition, crowning the 3rd preliminary winner as well as filling in the last 3 slots for the of 9 grand slam contest that will mark the end of the 2024-25 season and crown the 2025 Grand Slam champion and Kenya's representative to the regional qualifiers to the World Poetry Slam Championships in Mexico in 2025.
