Layered Realities’ presents a series of striking impressionistic images that capture the colours, textures, materials and immensity of Tanzania, as experienced by the London-based photographer Tom Sullam. Faced with the challenge of capturing the abundance and variety of visual stimuli within a single image, Tom layered a number of scenes together to create an intricate narrative within each one. The results are pictures that are instantly appealing. Shadows, reflections and textures are all used along with more traditional photographic subjects to create a visual journey. Toms' pictures of the most expensive houses in the world appear regularly in publications such as Architectural Digest and The Financial Times. Tom is a past winner of the Fuji Photographer of the Year competition and sits on the judging panel of the UK’s Landscape Photographer of the Year award.
