The Concept

It’s certainly a good time for the Ghanaian Arts and Entertainment industry, with the introduction of the People’s Choice Awards, which seeks to award and celebrate individuals and organizations which have contributed as well as those that continue to excel in their respective fields towards the development of the Ghanaian Arts and Entertainment Industry.

Also, as a cross discipline awards scheme, it is to promote the various sectors of the entertainment industry with elements that will appeal to more than just entertainment lovers in addition to recognizing the very people who keep us entertained throughout the year.

As the name suggests, the People’s Choice Awards is an award scheme for the people and by the people! It is a 100% public voting scheme which gives absolute power to the general public which includes lovers and followers of the Arts to determine who wins what at the awards night.

Objectives

The objectives for the People's Choice Award is aimed at achieving the following;

Creating a quality and an all inclusive Award program with elements that are appealing to more than just fans of entertainers.

Making the People’s choice Award number one among the series of award shows. We plan to create an award system that will have lasting appeal on the patrons.

Ensuring that successful nominees and award recipients of the people’s choice award show enjoy success beyond just receiving the awards.
