We cordially invite you to this year’s Opened-Bible Conference. This is the 10th Edition. As led by the Lord, we have a book of the Bible from which we study and get revelations for living each year. Last year we studied the Book of Songs of Solomon as we considered the theme, “Songs of Solomon: Melody for the Christian Home.” This year, we shall be moving into the New Testament again, and specifically to the Book of 2 Timothy where we shall consider the theme: "Sustaining a Transgenerational Vision: Expositions from 2 Timothy."

God has been gracious to us as a group that started so small in the STAC building of the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary some ten years ago. While we simply wanted a physical fellowship of men and women who meet on Facebook to read the Bible from cover to cover every year, God has taken the vision beyond that. It has become an annual gathering of Word-lovers from all over the nation (and beyond), and God has used the programme to bless many. From the same STAC building we moved to the chapel of the Seminary and now, we have moved to the Multi-purpose hall. So, this year, we want to celebrate and encourage ourselves to sustain this vision and make it transgenerational. The challenge is not only for us as members of the Bible from Cover to Cover, but to other individuals, corporate entities, churches and ministries, businesses and governments. The idea is, if God has given you a vision, how do you sustain it from one generation to another? What are the secrets of keeping visions alive beyond your generation? There will be much to reveal about this as we study 2 Timothy together.

Seasoned ministers of God are lined up to minister along with me at this weekend of Bible expositions, prayers and diverse ministrations. Prof S. Ola Ayankeye, will be on ground to give the Theme Interpretation. Rev Dr. Olawuyi James, the Youth and Student Ministry Director of the Nigerian Baptist Convention will be delivering the Anniversary Lecture. Saturday afternoon will be a celebration hour as we rejoice together and honour some of those God has used to encourage us in the past 10 episodes of Opened-Bible Conference. Bishop Ponle Alabi of the Covenant of Peace Evangelistic Ministry will be leading our Power Night. Several ministers will be on ground to handle Bible studies, counselling and other ministries as the programme demands. The conference will round off with a Communion Service on Sunday morning before we depart. If you are coming with children, please do so because they will be adequately taken care of. But please ensure they are also registered.

Our usual one-day training in online learning will also come up this year. A number of people want to take part in our various online discipleship and ministry training but do not have an opportunity for orientation. Doing it online is also difficult for them. So, as many as want to come onsite to Ogbomoso for a one-day training in online learning are welcome. It is free. It will come up a day before the conference begins, that is, Thursday, July 11.

The date for the Conference is Friday, July 12 to Sunday, July 14, 2024. The venue is the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
