By Code for Ghana
Code for Ghana in partnership with the National Information Technology Agency is organising an Open Data Hack Night at Mobile Web Ghana. This event starts from 10am Friday 31st July to 4pm 1st August, 2015.
It is a free and open event. We invite everybody interested in using open data for social good to join us: developers, students, workers, designers, data analysts, data science enthusiates etc.
We’ll be working on open government data provided by NITA and other government agencies. These include: Energy Consumption , Road accidents and casualties, Government Operations (Revenue and Expenditure), Fire Outbreaks, Floods and other interesting data sets. We expect that participants will be able to work in teams and develop useful civic apps or create interesting visualisations with these data sets.
Please note that we have limited space available, so register asap to secure your place. Come prepared to hack with your laptops into the night. Food and drinks will be provided by Code for Ghana. There will be prizes for interesting projects.
We are very excited about this event and we believe you will make time to join us.
