The play, ONIDIRI highlights importance of the Onidiris, the traditional hair stylists from all cultures! Utilizing poetry, music and dance, Onidiri highlights the techniques of hairdo as it passes from mothers to their children and sister to sister. The Onidiris are showcased as total artists. ONIDIRI… equates the task of hairdo to the process of a sculptor, every single process and movement as precise and rapid. ONIDIRI spotlights the varieties and specialties of hairdos. Some of these special styles date back to 2000 years ago. The play goes back in history to bring to the present past values needed now! For the sake of the future!
