The Or Foundation in collaboration with Kantamanto is proud to present the second edition of Obroni Wawu October (OWO); our annual celebration of the Kantamanto community. This year's theme "The Adeɛyie Resurrection" is a call to go back to our roots and take pride in Ghana’s culture of repair and reuse, join us for an unforgettable week filled with exciting events, captivating performances, and stunning runway shows.
Throughout the lead-up to the main event — OWO Day — on Sunday 29th October 2023, we have curated a series of enriching experiences for everyone to enjoy, including a beach cleanup, Foose party, panel discussions, and much more!

Thursday 26th Oct: Foose Fridays, Palm Moments, Asylum Down, 8pm - late
A night to party and have fun with Accra’s thrift community and our cohort of upcycle fashion designers.
Saturday 28th Oct: Circle Talk, The Or Foundation, Adabraka
Bringing together allies from different parts of the world to discuss strategy around the Stop Waste Colonialism / EPR campaign and the prosperous future of the Kantamanto community and the secondhand clothing trade at large. We will have guests from Chile, Uganda, Kenya, France, the USA, Nigeria, South Africa, the UK
Sunday 29th Oct: OWO Day, Rawlings Park, Makola, 12pm-5pm
The main event! The celebration brings Accra's youth to Kantamanto's thrift and upcycling community! Experience a selection of thrift from 30 of Kantamanto's best retailers and upcyclers, our Upcycled Fashion Runway, the Iconic Kanta Drip Contest, and more!!
