Nsuo ne Nsa presents: Speak Your Truth

Come and join us for our annual art exhibition ‘Nso ne Nsa presents: Speak your Truth’ Bringing together masterpieces reflecting on Ghana shaped by culture, history and identity by seven emerging artists in Ghana with a special guest speaker. Expect to enjoy an evening of music, food, drinks, art, networking, vibes and shopping!

Background

Nsuo ne Nsa is interpreted as water and wine. During the traditional naming ceremonies (outdooring), it is customary to touch the newborn's tongue with alcohol and water sequentially to symbolically introduce the child to truth telling and falsehood. This is considered essential for growth and development of the community. Nsuo ne Nsa has sponsored emerging artists in Accra to speak their truth and express this through their art. We will also engage in conversations about speaking your truth around your identity and roots from our past, present and future. We hope this exhibition brings you closer to your roots and hope you take a piece of the event home with you.
