🎨 Nkusunkushi Exhibition by Rusagara Benjamin
Opening Saturday, 8th February, at 7 PM ⏰
Rusagara Benjamin is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in painting and sculpture. Born in exile in Uganda, he returned to Rwanda in 1994, where he was influenced by local artists that shaped his early art journey.
The Nkusunkushi exhibition combines drawings, paintings, sculptures, installations, and video, weaving together a historical narrative through various forms of communication, including drawings, signs, symbols, and characters that symbolize strength and reconciliation.
“The common use of grey color in my work symbolizes the long journey of exile and exodus from Uganda to Rwanda. This also reflects on other histories of migration around the world.” ~ Ben
📅 Exhibition runs from 8th to 21st February | 9 AM - 5 PM
