Kenya Youth Network for Sustainable Development and Insatep International in partnership with Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and Kenya Water Towers Agency have organised the 2nd National Youth Green growth Summit 2015 (NY2GS2015) which will be held at Multimedia University from 6th to 9th October, 2015. The main objective of the Summit is to provide a platform for young people to share best practices, showcase innovations, generate partnerships, explore opportunities and encourage uptake of the green growth practice for sustainable development at the county level. We are organizing this forum to provide young people with a platform to deliberate, identify their role in the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), strategize and learn best and replicable practices for inclusive green growth. Under theme, “Youth as Active Partners to Drive the Green Growth Agenda in Kenya,” the forum will unleash the potential of young people and provide them with knowledge and skills to enable them drive the sustainable development agenda in their various communities. The summit will also draw all county executive members in-charge of Environment, Energy, Water and Natural resources and some selected for Agriculture in order to mainstream the green growth Agenda at county level.The summit will be a platform to increase awareness and further build capacity to young people and their leaders at the counties towards achieving sustainability.
