What is MESH Creative Confab?
MESH Creative Confab is a biannual event that brings together the very best of Ghanaian creativity under one roof for the purposes of meeting, exploring and sharing creative ideas, projects, products and services. The primary target group for MESH Creative Confab events include established and young up and coming artists, creative entrepreneurs and businesses in the Culture and Creative Industries (CCI) value chain. Sessions include Keynote Presentations by renowned creatives, Panel discussions, Creative Presentations, Live Creative Session and an Expo. These offer opportunities for networking, collaboration, market expansion and discovery among individuals and organizations within the CCI value chain.

Date: Saturday, 28th May, 2016.
Venue: British Council Auditorium.
Time: 9 am - 6pm.
Who should you expect?
Expected participants include a cross section of the Ghanaian CCI including but not limited to architects, fashion designers, digital and graphic artists, illustrators, web designers, filmmakers and the likes. We also invite some leading creative individuals, brands and outfits to take the opportunity to discover young talent for possible commissions, partnerships or recruitment. Our special guest will be the minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.
What should you expect?
Expo
This will showcase mainly products, projects and services that demonstrate Ghanaian creativity. These will be on display throughout the duration of the event.
Session 2
Keynote Speakers/ Panel discussion
This session is aimed at sharing insights into the business of creativity with an emphasis on how to make ideas happen. In this session, we invite outstanding individuals who have chalked remarkable success in their various creative disciplines to deliver 15 minute presentations. Keynote speakers for this edition are as follows:
1. Nana K. Duah - Branding Expert - Oxygen
2. Nana Akua Birmeh - Architect - Archxenus
3. Ibrahim Mahama - Fine artist/ Lecturer - KNUST
Session 3
Panel discussion
A discussion on intellectual property rights issues with a representative from GAMRO, Copyright office, music artist and a photographer. Names to be confirmed soon. A communique documenting outcomes of this discussion will be published and presented to all relevant institutions for consideration while encouraging creatives to find opportunities for innovation.
Session 4
Portfolio reviews
In this session, participants are given the opportunity to present their creative works to receive insightful feedback from peers, experts and audience. Presenters are given a 5 minute time slot within which to present their works and another 5 minutes to receive feedback all in a very relaxed and semi-formal atmosphere. This gives them the opportunity to showcase their work, a chance at commissions, recruitment and/or collaboration.
Session 5
Live Creative Sessions
This offers participants a first-hand peek into the creative processes of different creatives. There will be five different activities happening simultaneously with networking. The activities will include:
