“I was amazed by...a fully fledged foundry in which I was inducted to the mysteries of the lost wax casting process and the production of superb bronzes, the finished pieces being displayed in a beautifully designed gallery.”
The unique Bronze Foundry and Gallery near Kasese in West Uganda was established by the UK funded Ruwenzori Sculpture Foundation and for the past 12 years Ugandan artists have worked with European artists to create a body of remarkable work that is gaining recognition further afield.
