The primary goal is to showcase the work of local and international entrepreneurs (social), the impact of their organisation and the opportunities for the youth. The event will also bring together innovators and doers in Kumasi, to interact and share ideas that have the propensity for social and economic impact.
This is the 4th Edition of Kumasi Konnect and our speaker Bernice Dapaah will focus on the topic "Engaging Society as Catalyst for Change". Bernice will share her personal story of how she has empowered women and the youth in her community through her initiatives. The venue is the NW9 Lounge, near +2 PUB, Kumasi and the date is 10th June, 2015.
Bernice Dapaah is the Executive Director of the Ghana Bamboo Bikes Initiative. Under her leadership, the initiative developed from a project idea to an award-winning social enterprise that has won several international awards, including the 2013 UNFCCC Momentum For Change Light House Activity Award (Women For Results Category), World Business and Development Award 2012, UN Habitat/Dubai International Best Practice Award 2012, Samsung/Generations For Peace Impact Award 2012, GIZ Impact Business Award 2011, and UNEP SEED Initiative Award 2010.
