Embark on an adventurous journey through the lush Kereita Forest, located at the southern edge of the majestic Aberdare ranges. This expedition offers a perfect blend of nature, wildlife, and scenic views, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. 🥾🌿

The hike begins from a spacious open clearing, leading you deeper into vibrant forest vegetation. As you traverse the trails, you'll encounter giant ferns, climbers, and towering indigenous trees that stand majestically in the jungle. The symphony of monkeys and birds will keep you company along the way. 🐒🦜

After approximately two hours of exploring, you'll reach the Elephant Pool, a natural water body famous for elephants frolicking in its waters. Continuing the trek, a further hour into the walk brings you to the breathtaking Kereita Waterfall on Gatamaiyu River. Here, you can rest and enjoy the serene environment, and explore a cave inhabited by friendly bats. 🐘💧🦇

Post-refreshment, we'll retrace our steps via an alternative trail that ascends out of the forest into bamboo groves, culminating at the forest gate. The entire expedition is designed to be easy to moderate, suitable for those with average fitness levels. 🚶‍♂️🌳
