Event Details
The KCIC Green Tech Pitch Forum intends to bring together 30+ local and international investors and 40 cleantech businesses. The event will be a culmination of a 6-month intense acceleration programme for KCIC incubated businesses. The businesses in attendance will be drawn from the accelerator programme and other partner organizations operating in the same space. The event set for the 13th of November 2017 will be an opportunity to learn, network, get investment conversations started and get deals done.
Participants
• Investors – We expect to bring in both local and international investors to interact with the enterprises and have investment conversations started.
• Industry Experts – Organizations operating within the clean tech space such as accelerators, incubators and business development advisors. These organizations will be useful in sharing information on clean tech businesses and development of businesses in the sector.
• Leading Advisers – Economic development agencies and government agencies will also be in the forum. The importance of these institutions draws from their engagement in the policy environment in clean tech and support of development partners in the space.
Clean tech has been looked at as a risky sector and investors have exercised caution while making deals. This has partly been attributed to information asymmetry between the key players. The investor pitch forum will showcase viable business opportunities to investors and stakeholders in an effort to drive more investment to the sector.
What should you expect?
A showcase of the trends to look out for and the innovations and business models that are demonstrating these trends. This will therefore be a great opportunity for deal origination for investors. For business development services providers, it will be a good event for sourcing for business. To all participants, a timely opportunity to meet all who get deals done and make innovations advance and discuss the bottlenecks facing the industry.
