The Karen Triathlon & Kids Aquathlon is an annual sprint triathlon and kids aquathlon sport event organised by the Karen Track & Fitness Club. This is a great event for beginners wanting to try the sport for the first time or for more experienced athletes looking to start the season off with a short & friendly race. Adult Registration Fee is Kes. 1500 for members and Kes. 2,500 for non-members. The event distances are as follows: Sprint Triathlon 750m Swim - The swimming will be done in a 25m pool at the Kenya School of Law, competitors are required to swim 30 lengths of the pool to complete the required 750m. Waves will start at 7am and all participants are advised to have arrived by 6.30am for transition setup. 20km Bike - The bike course is an out and back 10km loop and participants will be required to do one lap of the bike course. 5km Run - The run course comprises 2 loops of 2.5km each. Super Sprint Triathlon 400m Swim - 16 lengths of the 25m pool 10km Bike - 1 lap of the course 2.5km Run - One lap of the run course. Kids Aquathlon Below 10yrs: 150m swim / 1500m run 11-12yrs: 250m swim / 2500m run Participation Formats The sprint distance triathlon may include one participant doing all the 3 events or a relay team, with at least one female member, doing the triathlon as a team with one member of the team doing one event and the other doing two events. NOTES: Event will start from 7am Parking is free and is on site. Please arrive to rack your bike least 30 mins before the start. A race briefing will be held poolside. Please ensure you are on poolside 10mins before start time. The bike & run route will be posted here a week before the event.
