IDENTITY MANAGEMENT IN NIGERIA ECONOMY: THE BEDROCK OF A CASHLESS ECONOMY

A WORKSHOP, to create awareness on identity management and its importance in transforming Nigeria into a modern and cashless economy.
The issue of financial inclusion in the Nigeria financial space is in the front burner. The underlying issue however remains that of identity management in the Nigerian Economy. This we believe is the bedrock of a cashless society and sine qua non for financial inclusion.
It is in line with this, CRAAAI, is a non-governmental, non-political consumer rights awareness organization in partnership with CHAMS PLC is organizing a Forum to enlighten Nigerians and in particular the entire chain of financial intermediaries.
The goal is to enlighten all stakeholders on the importance of identity management as a necessary tool for effective E-payment service delivery in trade, finance and commerce. Primarily, the need to embrace this tool as engine room to a flourishing economy and general merchandising is the thrust of this Forum.
Our invited guests are: E-payment operators, service providers, clients, and government agencies like NIMC, CBN, financial intermediaries, banks’ consumers, Telecommunication Providers, Consumer Protection Council (CPC), NPC, FRSC, NCC, the media and members of the general public to benefit by participating.
