HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS SELFCARE REFLECTION 12TH DECEMBER 2015 KENYA NATIONAL THEATRE The International Day of Human Rights is with us again. As usual there are many initiatives big and small that have been organized to commemorate the occasion. As a fraternity we are invariably, singly and in multiple invited or organizing some of the events. All these events have been organized as external actions and none is an internal reflection. The planned HRD Internal Reflection Day 12th December 2015 at the Kenya National Theatre is aimed at: 1. Reconnecting and rejuvenating Comrades 2. Strengthening ideological resolve-all is not lost by looking at the gains and opportunities VISION for a human rights 3. Mapping of our work. Who is doing What, Where, How, with Whom, for How long and Impact 4. HRD Skills audit and areas of development and resources mapping for capacitybuilding 5. Healing, through music, stories, poetry, dance 6. Embracing emerging strategies for HR Advocacy in a shrinking civic space and challenges of ethnicity 7. The push for the implementation of TJRC report in 2016 so that local justice framework to be in place for the victims PLEASE BRING OLD BANNERS, POSTERS AND T-SHIRTS FROM PROJECTS FOR DISPLAY! Artists are requested to bring artwork in the form of theatre, paintings, dance, music etc. Please bring with you 500Ksh to facilitate a light meal, snacks, tea and to pay the Ukumbi Mdogo Hall. Please encourage those who do not have this contribution to come since it is a sharing by comrades. Send this to all your networks.
