Spooky by Nature!
Join us for our 2nd Annual Halloween Event on October 31st between 1pm to 5pm. This pandemic edition of our beloved event from last year will be held entirely outdoors at the Legon Botanical Gardens this year. All public health protocols will be strictly adhered to, to help keep guests and staff safe. Masks are required for all guests 5 years and older, so start planning your Halloween-themed face apparel!
During the forest walk, we will be educating families about misunderstood nature through age-appropriate kooky and slightly spooky tales and tricks told through props and actors. We will also incorporate the Coronavirus in the theme to teach children about the importance of keeping safe and healthy during these difficult times.
We are particularly excited to announce that there is a special twist that excites us the most about this family-friendly event this time round! We will be donating a percentage of proceeds to a reforestation charity project in the country as we look to add our voice towards the fight against the depletion of our forests.
Important Information to note
- All participants (5 years old and up) will be required to wear a mask that covers their nose and face while waiting/queuing, during the hike and at any point where 6ft of social distancing cannot realistically be achieved. Hand-washing stations will be placed at vantage points on the premises but do arm you and family with generous amounts of hand sanitizer on hand. Temperature and self-checks will be enforced before admittance. Please do not attend if you do not feel well.
· We encourage all guests to come dressed in their favourite Halloween costume but please note a costume mask is not a substitute for a face mask unless it has multiple layers of breathable fabric and covers the mouth and nose snugly.
- Pre-booking is a must. We are unable to guarantee any sale of tickets at the door.
- This event is guided and designed for families with children 3-12 years. With the exception of children 2 and under, entry fees apply to any person entering the event premises. Adult accompaniment is required for all guests below 18 years of age.
- Entry Fee: GHS120 per person. Group rate: GHS1,500
- There is a maximum group size of 15 people per hike to allow for social distancing. This can include multiple families. If you would prefer to not be mixed with other families, you can purchase a 15-ticket block and bring along family and/or friends from your “COVID-19 bubble.”
- Hikes leave every 15 minutes between 1pm to 5pm. We will endeavour to leave on time each time to enable the free flow of traffic. A time slot will be allocated to you upon booking. Do endeavour to arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled hike.
- Allow a maximum of 60 minutes of total experience for the Halloween Forest Walk. This includes the time spent on the actual hike and post-hike attractions. Due to COVID-19 social distancing protocols, we are unable host families beyond their stipulated time.
- This is a no-contact attraction. Kindly refrain from touching actors or props. If you do not touch them, they will not touch you!
- There will be a very limited number of food and drink vendors as well as attractions post-hike. These will be offered by 3rd party vendors and at their own fees.
- All guests will be required to sign a waiver and release of liability upon arrival.
- All event ticket sales are final i.e. non-refundable, non-exchangeable and the event will run, rain or shine!
