EVENT DESCRIPTION
Grant funding has always been available as a major alternative source to traditional financing for various projects and businesses. Grant is important because it can be used to pay for a lot of projects that will meet the basic needs of the poor and vulnerable in Ghana. Unfortunately, Ghanaians have not fully explored the possibility of using grant funding to finance minor to major projects in the private or public sectors as well as community projects. Because grants are free money from donors, they are usually used to pay for project solutions that negatively affect society such as high poverty rate, high unemployment, illiteracy, environment, education, health, agriculture, lack of economic opportunities and so on.
On the other hand, these grants are keenly competed for by individuals, organizations and governments from all over the world. It therefore requires that those interested should understand what grant is, is it really free money, who are those giving the free money, how can it be accessed, how much is available, where can it be found, what is the processes involved in accessing grants, what can it be used for apart from those mentioned above, can individuals and businesses apply for grants etc.
The 3day GRANT FUNDING, PROPOSAL AND BUSINESS PLAN DEVELOPMENT workshop has been designed to answer all these questions and even more. Participants will learn how to turn societal problems into grant fundable projects as non-profits or for-profit businesses. They will also be taken through how to search, identify and apply for grants by doing it themselves in groups during the training for their business or organization.
