Taru Thompson is a teacher, poet, spoken word artist and author. Born and raised in Washington, DC, he transitioned to the Big Apple for college at St. John’s University and just recently shifted homes again to the Big Easy. Taru discovered his love for poetry in college and has been writing since. He is a published author of Die or Live Trying- a compilation of his works exploring education, race, religion, love and more.

Sabukie Osabutey is a writer, perfomance poet, artist, and storyteller. Her first poetry collection
"A Longed Desire" became a headliner to her poetry career in 2018. Her latest collection of poetry, "Healess Wound' is her second poetry collection and she touches on self-love, pain, healing and gratitude.
